Re: THE ZEALOT JACK!
My bad. I had googled it, and my info was wrong.
However, you'd want to make a switch controlling the change from fullscreen to everyone-only-sees-their-own-screen view because otherwise setting up games would be much more difficult - games don't go into splitscreen until the gameplay starts.
Edit: 600th post! 600 / 88 days = about 6.8 posts per day

Re: THE ZEALOT JACK!
Cool Ideas. But how possible would this be. Would I need some chips and a PIC Controller? Those I cannot afford and be highly difficult for an 11 year old. But if this is vaguely possible I would like to know about it. This kinda stuff interests me and if only a small circuit is required I would gladly intergrate it in my portable. Just BTW I have loads of cool ideas but half I have no idea how to pull off. Again stating the fact I can't really help in any prgramming or circuitry but if building is easy I will do it.

Re: THE ZEALOT JACK!
I figured that, pretty much all the info pre-2008 that I can find claims they are 640x480. I had an idea that is how you got confused, but I wanted to practice my classic bait'n'switch post.eagle5953 wrote:My bad. I had googled it, and my info was wrong.
@Zealot: This is possible in theory, but the work required, and the parts that would be needed, are just not worth the benefit for the few games that would benefit.

Excellent

You mean like this thing I made a couple months ago?XCVG wrote:Also, the LOB64 port can connect to an XDS (of my own invention) that allows you to use it as a home console!

I've just got the A/V wires taped back, so I can put in A/V I/O jacks. Sorry to steal "your invention".

Dang, I thought I was a genius when I thought up the idea to use an internet cable for multiplayer. (it was before I found out about lob64

Yay! It's even got a 3v source to power the controllers so it doesn't drain the portable's batteries! And it has Marshall's approval!Mario wrote:You mean like this thing I made a couple months ago?

lob64 was invented by life of brian (hence "lob") long before you joined the forumszealot2009 wrote:I was wondering what invention marshallh was reffering to and did I not invent it? I'm pretty sure he meant the controller port breakout box for the LOB64.zealot2009 wrote:I was wondering what invention marshallh was reffering to and did I not invent it? The LOB64 is exactly what you want, it just assumes that people would use N64p's since a screen with a N64 controller is pretty useless on its own, but a screen and controller like you want will work. Here is the LOB64 thread. Dunno if anyone has made a splitter yet to connect more than 2 systems, but you should be able to make your own and still meet the LOB64 standard.

I'd make a splitter, shouldn't be hard, but making it look nice so others could use them...that might be tricky, but doesn't only like 1 or two people have lob64 installed right now? It should be standard in every console....vskid wrote:I'm pretty sure he meant the controller port breakout box for the LOB64.zealot2009 wrote:I was wondering what invention marshallh was reffering to and did I not invent it? Re: THE ZEALOT JACK!
I did it before all of you, in my 5th portable, there was a 12 pin plug on top that had the same pinout as the lob64. I used it to connect it to a box kinda like Mario's except mine had the n64's av plug on it, although all that was attached on the n64 plug was composite.
