I believe it was because the jews help high paying jobs way back and the jokes stemmed out of jelously (don't take this for fact though because I can't remeber where I learned that)themadhacker wrote:DJ711 wrote:
Oh and Kurt, I'm Jewish.
I thought that it was you. I wasn't going to single you out or anything, though.
Umm. Ok, I hate people who bash other races and religions. And now that we are talking about people who bash religions, I hate all the people who make jew jokes and make fun of jews. I mean WTF? What have they ever done to you? And where the hell are all these people getting the whole "jews are greedy people who like money" thing? Sorry, but people who say that arfe not making any sense what so ever.
BTW, I am not Jewish, I am catholic, but I just don't like people bashing other religions. Taunting people for there beleifs is a very evil thing to do.
Oh yeah, I hate preps too.
I haven't been here in awhile, and looking back it's one of the worst ideas I ever had. I'm back and I'll be here for awhile, I was quite active 1 year ago and I hope to become that again.

Ok, I can't.jleemero wrote:It was never officially titled the PSX.AfroLH wrote:II also hate people that hate people that say PSX is a DVR, when in fact the north american PS1 was in fact called the PSX.
PSX was a name derived from the fact that one of the internal names for the Playstation was the "Playstation Experimental".
And I'd like you to find proof, in the form of an existing advertisement, or article coming directly from SCEA, acknowledging that it has ever been officially abbreviated "PSX".
The Playstation was abbreviated "PS" officially, until the release of the slimmed-down model, when the abbreviation officially became the "PSone", which is what you'll see in all recent official media released by Sony.
I hate to seem rude, but really, I'd rather be proven wrong than defended against without any sort of basis.
but that really doesnt disprove the fact that thats what its called.
A lot of gaming mags call it that,
IGN calls it that.
Only SCEA doesnt call it that.
Re: Pet Peeves!
Only the company the made the thing didn't call it by that name...
Yeeeeaaaahhh.
And IGN had a listing for a game called "Harvest Moon Heroes" at one point. Why remembers that

I believe it stemmed from that for some reason Catholics couldn't be bankers, so the Jews handled the money. Whatever, not important.
I don't like people that are incredibly offensive with the racist/religion jokes either. But, I also don't like it when people freak the hell out whenever anything like that happens. Good example: the movie Gran Torino. At school, I heard lots of people quoting the racist remarks from the movie and laughing at them. I also have heard numerous people going nuts over the racism in that movie. Both people are off base in this scenario. The racism in that movie was there was not there for the sake of racism, nor was it there to actually poke fun at anyone, barring possibly the people saying the remarks. It was merely a realistic portrayal of the character and setting of the movie. I will admit, there were a few in there for comedic value, but they were also relevant.

That. Right there. What a totally stupid way to discriminate. Who the hell cares? Let them believe what they want to believe. Yes, there is a vocal MINORITY that is less than one percent who make us all look bad. I am so frigging sick of the automatic prejudice against every damn religion under the sun, though. Let people have their beliefs, and quit judging them because crap LOUDMOUTHS THAT YOU WOULD HATE WHETHER THEY WERE RELIGIOUS OR NOT cant shut their yaps.jjhammerstein wrote:I hate religious people.

Re: Pet Peeves!
If you're referring to topics as charged as homosexuality and the like, again, it's loudmouth morons trying to make religion their excuse. Interestingly enough, in all the studying of Christianity and Catholicism I've engaged in, it's always a matter of vocal idiots trying to twist something to make an excuse for their own assinine ideas.AfroLH wrote: I have to agree with you.

Re: Pet Peeves!
I hate:
little kids.
People who know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING (or at least think they do)
people who lecture me about being an atheist.
people who say " you will be in my prayers", go ahead and have you beliefs but muttering into the air is not going to make me able to walk.
people who talk when their mouth is full. uck
And above all what i hate most are humans in general.

I am in a so called "Gifted" class full of religous people that love to argue,
And I, being the only Agnostic/Pastafarian in there, love to get them started on homosexuality and freedom of religon. They are all so closed minded.
