Cart Slot Relocation question
Hmm there's a tutorial for this, but it says something about the expansion port, and desoldering leads after ripping off the cart slot. Are the leads to the cart slot, or the expansion port? Also, what am I doing to the expansion port? In ShockSlayer's Cart Slot Relocation Time Lapse he doesn't seem to even touch the expansion port... so is it even necessary?

Re: Cart Slot Relocation question
I ripped it off gently with nedle nose pliers before the video.
But once its gone you have to rewire, as the contacts underneath that you break off are the ones that connect to the slot originally

Palmertech uses: Arguement!
It's not very effective...
ShockSlayer uses: Evidence!
"It has no bearing on the relocation"
It's Super effective!

Re: Cart Slot Relocation question
If you have a vise grip, gently latch it onto the expansion port, and tighten. pull it off tighten it more, then latch it on firmly. Hold onto the n64 board with your left hand and pull as hard as you can with your right. If you did it right, you just ripped the crap out of your expansion port. Then take a wire cutter and cut all the annoying fricken leads.
If you have no vise grip, it's harder. You have to peel the metal off of the plastic part. PM me for more details on this.

Bending pins off is easier than cutting them.

With those.
Since we know what eurddrue really looks like, I can actually imagine him holding those over a n64 board lol

Re: Cart Slot Relocation question
yup, my perfect titties kept getting in the way
I used my fingers, and when I was pulling them off, I got cuts all over my fingers, so now I use a small wire cutter, and it works 10x better.
