Thanks eurddrue for that information. I would have never geussed that static could fry the gamecube board.

Oh, well in that case then I am absolutely wrong!!!
I thought the platinum gamecube only had the board integrated in it... oops.
I also am waiting for my gamecube and it should hopefully get here by Friday, Monday at the latest.
My screen is coming in the mail as well, I am really annoyed because I won the auction for my screen a on th 29 of march, and he should of mailed the screen on the 30, but I just found out that he mailed it YESTERDAY!!!

No, you can't increase the voltage AND the mAh at the same time.andrewdorsey wrote:I recieved my batteries for my project.
I ordered 10 AA 1.2 volt 2600mAh for my project.
If you add up the voltage and the mAh then that would be 12 volts and 26,000mAh!!!!![]()

HOLY CRAP THAT'S A LOT OF MAH, HOURS OF PLAYTIME!!!!!![]()

Your batteries will get you 12 volts at 2600 mAh. Sorry, but that's not even going to last you an hour. To get 12 volts at 26,000 mAh, you would need 100 of those batteries.

Re: GAMECUBE PORTABLE WORKLOG!!!!! WITH PICS!!!!!
For Gamecube? Get two 7.2v or 7.4v batteries with high mAh values, like 6600. That'll get you 14.4v to 14.8v and a few hours' playtime.
Look at what other people have done in the past for GC.

Re: GAMECUBE PORTABLE WORKLOG!!!!! WITH PICS!!!!!
Oh. Well I have another question.
What if I make 6 different cells for the 1.2 volt 2600mAh batteries.
Would that give me 12 volts and 15,600mAh???

No.
Unfortunately, your 1.2v AA batteries will not be useful for this portable in any capacity.

Oh, what a let down.
Alrighty then, looks like I am going to have to buy new batteries.
Would a 11.1 volt 7000mah laptop battery work?

It should, but I'll leave that question to those who know more about such things.andrewdorsey wrote:Oh, what a let down.

Re: GAMECUBE PORTABLE WORKLOG!!!!! WITH PICS!!!!!
Be careful charging a laptop battery. I think the laptop charger may have the protection circuits in them, but it may be the laptop instead.
And a note on batteries.
When putting batteries in series (one after the other) then the voltages add and the mAh stays the same.
When putting them in parallel (all +'s connected and all -'s connected) then the voltage sdtays the same and the mAh add.
For example, if we had three 1.5v 1000mAh batteries, we would get 4.5v and 1000mAh by putting them in series. If they were in parallel, we would get 1.5v and 3000mAh.
