xbox portable( well more like mod )

Post by vee42 »

this guy wrote a really great idea for a portable xbox http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=211331 great idea but he forgot the evolution X mod (xbox on linux) beacause with that you can make back ups of your games right on the xbox and in theory this thing can be really small but how would someone extend the length of the av signal? If anyone does this please post it here.

and find out about the evolution x mod.

The EvoX mod doesnt give you the ability to made hard drive backups its programs like Xcommander that do that. EvoX just aloues you to run unsigned programs without the security devices Microsoft installed preventing it.

It will also be difficalt running the Xbox without a DVD-rom. The Rom is integrated into the system and if the system sees that it isnt there it wont boot.

Also what do you mean by "extend the length of the av signal" ?

use a couple of op amps, although you have to be carefull because you might get a signal that's too strong

if it's too strong, there's a chance that it'll interfere with other things that use wireless signals, such as TVs. Also, the FCC could get on your butt if they find out.
