Wired controller hook up to vista

Wired controller hook up to vista

How exactly would I go about hooking up an xbox 360 controller to a pc with vista? Could someone link to a decent guide for me? I plan on using it for counter strike source.

If you go to wally world they have xbox controllers for $10 that plug right into your usb! :D otherwise you have to make an encoder circuit or something like that, I never fully understood.

It can already connect to the comp and shows up in device manager. Oh and I meant xbox 360 controller sorry.

The wired 360 controller should work like any other USB gamepad. Check the 'Game Controllers' control panel.
