so i am in the process of rewiring the capacitors, and i'm half way done. i've been checking the system every couple of capacitors to make sure it works. well this time i checked it and i don't have video. i don't know why. i still have sound. no picture. anyone know what i messed up?

is the cap connected to positive and ground properly? if it is mixed up, It won't work.

yes. the white band is facing towards the cart slot. like all the others.

maybe you overheated the capacitor and ruined it.

check the cap with a multimeter, the numbers should go up and then go down.

ok. so after further investigation i somehow ripped off the ground line on one of the contact points. :( it's cool though. i rewired it. tested. works. nintendo seal of approval and all that.

1) Be more careful
2) Move the electronics only when you need to.
3) When you do, be very gentle.

I can tell it maybe take you a fried system or two, but after that you'll learn what electronics can and can't take, and you'll make some fine creations. You have the caution and the patience.

lol. i hope i've already learned my lesson. yesterday just wasn't my day. i had a really rough day, and i'm the type of person who works out, or builds something when i'm frustrated. anything to keep me busy. turns out frustration + electronics = lame. i've settled down and am ready to do to high quality creating.
