7" Screen for cheap

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Found this screen when i was searchin around the internet. Don't know how high quality a screen this is but should work, and you can't beat the price. $47.99 shipped. Check it out:

That's a pretty good looking screen there, I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet but it looks promising. It may have the potential to be in many portables as long as it doesn't suck up too much power. *bookmarked*

Pretty good value, but you get what you pay for. Widescreen, too. But it has an inverter. Overall, interesting hacking project.
and play your XBOX, Playstation, Gamecube or Nintendo

Found it even cheaper on amazon. $29.45 + $4.49 shipping. I'm tempted to pick one up to see how it is, at that price.

Right now its free. I assume this would still be considered "unusable" based on the FAQ in the forum? I want to build a screen inside of my x360, but not sure what to use. Seen a few threads but not a complete how-to.

Free?!? Where!

It's not the best screen. Low brightness, low resolution, but it can do VGA.

jj: If you want to put a screen inside your 360, buy at least an 11" XGA LCD. It will cost you about $200

Well isn't this nice?

Ordered this screen about a week ago, just got in today.
All looks good, thing works, so I figure I'll go ahead and print out the rebate.

And the item is no longer on their site....
Can't retrieve the rebate forms.

Ain't that great?
