Most people don't text that way anymore. With predictive typing, its just as easy to type the whole word. Only little kids and old people trying to be cool text like that (as far as I know).themadhacker wrote:I H-8 TXT msging. As do I, but with T9, there is hope yet. At least kids will be able to spell the first half of things.
Does anyone else regularly use big words (larger than 10 letters) while text messaging?
I HATE that every 10 year old thinks they're black now.

I kinda know what you mean. The kids who are like ""sup dawg I always gettin in da knife fights down in da hood, right afta elementra skool math, yo".
It is indeed a serious problem, mostly caused by the fact that kids idolize black rappers/GTA protagonists these days.

I have nothing against any race, but I would have to say that rap is the s**ttiest form of "music" anybody can listen to. Although, this statement probably shouldn't count, comming from a hardcore Ozzy/Metallica/Pantera fan. Metal ftw!Mainstream rap is the scum of America.

Come on now!Rekarp wrote:What you have a problem with black people and America?Kurt_ wrote:I HATE that every 10 year old thinks they're black now.
As far as rap music goes, don't bash it. It's not my favourite, but neither is Country. Sure, some rap songs (and country songs) are good, but it's not something I'd put on repeat or anything.
I have nothing against any race. But I hate all those little kids. Palmer gave an excellent example of what I'm talking about. All the little white kids (My town is, unfortunately, mostly white, story later about that) who wear those baggy jerseys and baggy baseball caps (You know the type), prancing around in their Nike's with their brand new $300 cell phones texting their friends they're sitting beside at recess.
So the story: My older brother's friend, until he was about 12, I think, thought my town was ACTUALLY only for Italians. That's how white our town is. I'm German, but still, we're all pretty white. In my high school, there was a grand total of like, 5 black people, and anyone who wasn't white counted for about 1% (literally, and that's being generous) of our school's population. My point? These poor little white kids don't know what it's like to have the crap beaten out of them. Which is a bad thing.
Why I have a problem with all these kids: Heritage is great. Especially when it's YOUR OWN, AND NOT A BLATANT RIP-OFF OF SOME OTHER PERSON'S HERITAGE. If you're Italian, be Italian, not African-American. Heritage isn't a fad, it's your history. I wouldn't want to see my heritage die off because my kid adopted Japanese customs and such. Not that there's anything wrong with them, it's just that if everyone does it, who's left to carry on German customs?
Hey, sup?

It's the same in my town as well. In one of my classes some wannabe gangsta tried to start a gang made up of wannabe gangstas that are rich kids.
I haven't been here in awhile, and looking back it's one of the worst ideas I ever had. I'm back and I'll be here for awhile, I was quite active 1 year ago and I hope to become that again.

Where I am, everybody stopped with the baggy clothing a few years ago. It didn't last too long.

Re: Come rant here! :D
nobody really wears their clothes like that and you can laugh at baggy clothes behind somebody's back. Although I guess the same thing goes for guys who wear tight pants, for the most part. Nobody (not other guys at least) want to see that.

Re: Come rant here! :D
A lot of the freshman class this year is trying to be emo or punk. They go to Khols or Target and get some shirt with like a skull on it or a guitar and just wear all black and its really annoying. Me just being a band shirt kid get on occasion lumped in with those kids and it drives me insane.
