Rapid Fire Controller MOD

Post by aj23 »

Would the following parts be all I need for a Rapid fire mod on the new and old revisions of the board, for both the sleeper and RF installs?
1N4148 Diode

JDM Programmer

330Ohm Resistor

10k Resistor

470Ohm Resistor

Tact Switches

12F683 Microchip

Also, would that programmer and microchip work together? And the last thing I want to ask, is there any cheaper source for these parts? That microchip especially is more expensive than I'd like.

BTW, instead of me creating another thread on top of this one and my laptop one, does anyone know which LEDS I need for the controller and ROL board? I know the Power on the controller uses Surface Mount SMD 603, but I want to also get leds for ABXY, BACK and SELECT, and the ROL Board. If there are any simple guides out there on how to do this, that would be appreciated as well if you can provide it. T

Thanks!

This is just something I'm doing on the side to my own xbox 360 along with windows mods, and possibly watercooling as well. If it's good enough, maybe I'll post it here but I'll be sure to show my main xbox 360 project once it's done. I'd say give me atleast another 4-6 weeks, and maybe a bit more, and I'll have the laptop here.

I've never heard anyone use any surface mount led's in their rapid fire project. Maybe someone has as indicators that it's on but it certainly isn't required. I only saw leds involved in the xbox 360 rapid fire because the leds were the ones giving the pulse.

I have an easier method: Solder the wire to the rumble motor positive, it has a nice PWN signal as well. Easier to solder, and less fuss as well. :D

(BTW, I found this out myself)
