I'm seeing a pattern here. It takes you people a while to catch up with what I'm saying. So I will capitalize it so you won't forget.

IT IS A PROOF OF CONCEPT

If you buy one you probably won't be getting that PS3, you will be getting a unique one in case. Why you people can't grasp this simple concept is a mystery. If you read the posts I've made I've been having to repeat myself way more then I should.

Then finish the "unique" one, and show that. By showing us a proof of concept, you are not going to sell anything. We already knew the concept of running a PS3 off a battery, this is the kind of thing you do to prove to yourself you can do it.

Come back when you have made a nice case, and then try and sell. Nobody will buy otherwise.

I can see why people would bash you Xteaph-N. You are a new member, and we have not seen you build a single portable, you just showed up and posted this thread! I think the problem we see is that we don't know where the money is going, all the videos show is a game console and portable screen working together with no modification to either. Now if you built these portables and posted pictures of them completed, there would be no problems!

No the dreamcast's screen isn't attached, and no I no longer have my N64 portable nor do I have pictures.

Why? It's just going to be in case similar to ben's latest xbox 360:

Actually I did mod the internals of the PS3 slightly to run on DC instead of AC. I also built the Wii battery pack too, contrary to what others have been saying.

so, i see you do all portables.....can you do a atari/colecovision/intellivision/c64/3do combo for me? i'd prefer them be super glued together, and run off a small nuclear reactor, and have a game screen duct taped on, with 2 a-b switches tied on for the systems. can i pay with 1000,00000$?

Because Most people lack the skillz needed to make a case that nice. So far, Ben is the only one. We simply do not think you can make a case that nice, and you probably do not realize it will take you 20+ hours of work.

THAT is why you should wait till you have something people actually want to buy.

I didn't know people thought it was hard. If that's the case, no pun intended, I'll finish making the case.

not our fault you need a cary battery to run it. How bout getting a lot of lipolys or something, so the thing atleast runs for half an hour. Would be much better then the freakin car battery, also would look much nicer to. Who says you have to copycat somebody else's case? Make your own.

Stop trying to sell this junk. It may be portable by your definition, but not by ours. Personally I would consider most of them semi-portable. Read the stickies, Ben's projects, and maybe Ben's book. Then start with something easy like a NES and make a REAL portable. Eventually you will become a portabilizing master.

I'd be more interested in buying consoles, games, and accessories. You should try to sell those instead, as you seem to have a lot of them.

Since people are refusing to act civil, this topic is getting closerized.

Xteaph-N, when you have completed a portable, feel free to post it in the appropriate forum so it can be discussed. Saying you are going to be selling portables when you have yet to complete one turns topics into this.

So again, here's a list:
  • This topic gets closed.
  • Don't make a new topic.
  • Complete a portable.
  • Post a topic about the portable, with decent pictures.
  • If it's what you want, post a new topic here to sell the portable.
Closerized.
