I'm very surprised and proud that people haven't gotten to the point of spamming stupid comments on this thread yet.

I will say this. I didn't vote for Obama, I really don't support him. I can only hope that any changes he makes are ones that will not infringe or limit my constitutional rights, my ability to start a business and become successful, and that I don't have to suffer higher taxes.

Really his inauguration was really over the top, and I mean that in a bad way. It was as if a new king had come to rein. I feel that people's feeling and being proud that we have a black president are very selfish. I look at Obama and who he is, his character and his actions, and that is not what I want as a leader. Black, white, asian or whatever. People throw around that Dr. King would be proud, but would he? Obama's greatest support came from the fact his skin was dark.

And so you people out there know, McCain was an idiot. Possibly more some then Obama. The guy listened to the liberals about not being partisan, hoping that it would get him more support. But there was Obama being partisan as he could, slamming McCain every chance he got, and what happened. Both candidates were not what I would want as a leader, especially what Bush has left on their plate (not all Bush's fault either).

I'd rather that Obama just go to the Capital, swear in (and not mess it up), give his speech, and that would be the end of the day. Nope we had to have an extravaganza. That's too much for someone that merely was voted in. He hasn't done anything yet people. Cheer for a victory when on is actually done. Not this "a black guy's in office" crap.

I'll end my rant here, with the line that all office in the government should have term limits. Particularly the legislative branch.

P.S. Pick and chose what you want to argue about. I know a few of you will be doing that.

Although I agree, I'd have to say that I feel the cheering was mainly for the fact that a milestone has been reached in American history. For the first time ever, the majority of Americans have been proven to not be racists.

Although they might have voted for him because he WAS black, which negates my whole argument...

Sparkfist I have to agree with you I blame congress more than the president.

congress = hunderds
president = 1

I did not support obama in the slighest, I supported mcCain (when he won the nomination) because I felt he was the lesser of two evils and would stop the spending. (I wanted Huckabee to win :( ) However the people have spoken and barrack obama won and I will respect that and call him my president and pray that I was wrong about him. I feel thats how we should all feel because complaining and whinning about it wont change the fact that he won. What we need to do is pray that he will do what is right for the country and that God will give him the wisdom to do whats right.

I cheered because I see a chance for a government that doesn't have the military-industrial complex's hand up its ass.

Meh, I'm still either or on this one.

I found it interesting that he was the first president to have the word muslim in his inauguration speech.

Now this thread is double bad, politics and religeon. Hopefully we can keep it cool.

There is exactly one person in this thread who said he supported McCain and even he said McCain wasn't his first choice.

Ya, I think most of the "Nobama" people are thinking of this:
Wikipedia wrote:The United States of America is a federal constitutional republic
Not a democracy. We are governed by the constitution, not by what the majority thinks.
