why has no one created a tutorial on this subject yet nor could i find one elsewere on the web anyone got any links?

Because contrary to the beliefs of all the leeches on the internet, you are not entitled to a tutorial. Making them takes a lot of time, and the people who make them usually are not going to walk you through making a copy of their work of art.

actually i never stated i wanted a walk through on there case design or some dumb crap like that I was asking for a simple tutorial on the circuitry? thats all I have been asking about for the last ohh week or so which no one has had much of crap to say or answer? you guys have officially made up my mind abotu purchasing bens book lol ill just check out another site which seems to have helpful members and helpful links.

Why do we care if you buy Bens book? We do not make money off it.

And bens book has no dreamcast, just so you know.

Asking for a simple tutorial on how to do the circuitry of a DCp is like asking for a simple tutorial on how to build a spacecraft; I cannot be done.

Really? A different site with helpful links and members on how to build portables? Please tell me of this site, I wish to register.

I think i would care because the only reason anyone is here is to help each other out in creating new items that help promote ben your promotional puppets in a free playground. end of story. It is benefitial to the sites community to help promote his book and help each other out so places like my local barnes and nobles would actually carry the crap and i wouldnt have to consider ordering it off of amazon lastly I was going to purchase it to try and understand better about consoles in general not just the dreamcast and reading the amazon description i already realised it didnt have crap about the dreamcast in it or more people here might know something so heres a new website discovery ready for it... quit assuming your intelligent or witty because its obvious you cant socially interact with anyone thus hurting bens campain thanks again you can send that extra 20 bucks to ben that you just took outa his pocket

that makes very little sense at all. ive been a member of this forum for over 4 years. this forum was put in place so that people who were interested in the HOBBY of building portables could share information and show off the things they could make, not to spoonfeed arrogant noobs on how to build them. or to make ben money. thats just stupid, the reason this forum has advertisement is so ben can afford to host it!

yes because ben was going to make money on that used copy of his book off of amazon or whatever. your attitude (and lack of punctuation for that matter) isnt going to make people want to help you.

Most of the people you see on these forums who are making impressive portables like you see featured on the major videogame and tech blogs arent the ones who come to this forum asking how to build a portable, they have learned basic electronics for themselves and figured everything out FOR THEMSELVES

Amen to that brother. i started early. i was probably 8 or so when i got my first soldering iron. im not just gonna give some internoob all of the knowledge i spend more than a decade acquiring myself. go get a bunch of electronics and a soldering iron and get learning.

First off, I do not care if B&N has it, Amazon is fine.

Second, I may not be intelligent or witty, or capable of social interaction, but I still manage to use periods.

I have to give it to you, that is probably the longest run on sentance I have ever heard.

Third, "Promotional Puppets"?

As if! You really think that we exist to further his "Campaign"? Man, you really are funny.

And I know this may be hard to grasp, but Ben does not get $20. The majority of the money goes to the book retailer, shipping the book, and the publisher. Ben gets $1 at most, and that would be an enormous stretch.

"New website discovery"? So wait, you discovered some secret portable society that none of us have heard about?

Look, I am gonna be a bit harsh here: The vast majority of us on these forums do not care if you buy the book, and a large chunk of us dislike how it brings all sorts of people who have the intelligence, to buy a book, but have no idea how to use google, the forum search feature, or punctuation. People like YOU. And this may be a shock, but there are those of us who think that ben is a sell-out, a trailblazer that has been succeeded by far better modders. We don't come here to help Ben, we come because it is the ONLY forum on the internet for making portable consoles. People like you are the scourge of these forums! You do not research, you act like you are entitled to a tutorial, and then think that threatening with not buying the book will make us feel bad.

You have not even bought the book! What exactly makes us WANT to help you? If you want to go, great! We are friendly, but when you insult people and act stupid, don't get all up on your high horse.

Goodbye. I hope you can understand what I just said, I did my best to not be witty, and it was a rough attempt at social interaction.

who said ANYTHING about keeping ANYTHING a secret? all of the information you need to build a portable is READILY AVAILABLE on these very forums and if not here then google. all we ask is that you please try and learn something for yourself instead of expecting us to lay out how to do every little thing for you in detail with diagrams and pictures.

We don't want to keep everything secret, there is TONS of information in the forums! See the little "Search" button? If you click it, it lets you find things that people have posted! It is a really useful feature.

Second, you think we are losers for wanting to keep it secret? It is actually the opposite. See, we have these things called LIVES. Know what that means? We don't waste our time making step by step tutorials! They take DAYS to put together, and most of us simply lack the time due to our REAL lives. The problem here is idiots like you, not us. I know reading is hard, but if you read my previous post, you can see that everything I said was true. Sometimes you just need to face facts.

Also, as a final note: According to yourself, you are a stuck up poop egress.

That is what you get when you do not qualify your unbased, sweeping staements, Mr. poop egress.
