In reality, it would be pretty rock-solid, and because none of the parts would move at all, the likelihood of it breaking down would be really low.
Frisbee 64
Yeah, I ran out of hot glue. So I just didnt use any.
why does it say eyes = blue if the original picture has brown eyes? Also why would you steal the identity of a woman as a man? Aren't they going to notice? Also, the angle of the picture in comparison to the tweezers really doesn't make sense. See me after class.

Maybe the girl stole it from the guy, and the guy is stealing it back.
SS, take this portable apart (leaving the guts intact), figure out a case making method (vaccuform, CNC), build a new case using new knowledge, and then put the guts in new fancy case. You have the guts down, now you need to take time to make a nice case. Building tons of portables that get better looking in the smallest amount each time doesn't do anything.

Wow, not bad at all. I think this just goes to show that the majority of time spent portabilizing is work done with the case, and not the electronics (although for you SS, we'll reverse that a bit ).
As I recall, opening up an N64, putting on heatsinks, removing the controller and video plugs, rewiring some bits, relocating cart slot took me 2 hours a while back on my last N64 project. Adding a screen and cells and putting into a badly hacked console case without care about looks or finish, I could probably do it in 4 hours (more work done as above), not 5. No point though. a) what's the rush, b) better to make something quality.
For $200, someone could make a really quality looking system themselves in a case half the size.

The downside would be not being able to use any of the controls

Spoilsport.
Maybe you could cover some areas (Buttons, screen obviously, charging port), fill in the rest, then do the fine glue work by hand.
Once again, iam glad that the N64 is still being portablized, and for me, it's not a beauty contest. just as long as can play my favorite games anywhere i want, iam more than satisfied, good job SS and i hope you and all other experienced portablizers continue to work with this great system(especially you Bacteria)
