Yeah, I don't see why not. Just mod a laser pointer into it.

The sensor bar doesn't sense anything. It's just a source of infrared light. All the sensing is done by the wiimote itself, so no, it wouldn't interfere with anything.

If you are wanting to use it as a laser aimer for the wiimote, it will not work very well, if at all.

And those DX lasers have a lot of IR leakage, it would interfere with the IR sensor in the wiimote for sure.

What exactly do you want to accomplish?

We need this info before we can try to come up with a solution.

The problem is, the wiimote movement is generally not exactly the same as the cursor onscreen.

Let me think about this, I may have a solution.

thats true about the not exact movement. are you a guy with a realy big screen or a projector. yeah a projector would be better. I know the Wii is dificult for that, maby that would kinda help... wouldn't it be simpler to mount it some wares off the Ir thing seeing as a used component lives there any way? oh get a GB camera. they pick up Ir really eazly. dont beleave me use a remote infront of one and check it... it would make a ring around where the lazer comes out, and if you point it strait at it. you see a bright lazer dot!
