yes triton is undetaking yet another ambitious very nifty project under comission! this time around I am creating what is likely the most intensly modified GP2X ever! so far plans include a built in 4 port usb host hub, li-poly batteries, built in video output and a D-pad mod! plus customized case and paintjob! pics to come soon i had started out with the dpad mod and a bit of progress has been made to the design and case, need to find my dpad tho!

Doesn't it already output s-video and composite with no mods?
This is the internet. It means nothing. Don't believe otherwise.

While you're at it, why don't you just order the docking bay kit that comes with just the PCB and throw that in there, too? I mean, it wouldn't hurt.

BACK FROM THE DEAD! yes people this project is finally BACK ON TRACK after a long intermission of sorts i have been working on it and have a few updates. Sorry no pictures yet, keeping it under wraps for now!

FEATURE LIST:
*4 port powered USB host hub (step up regulator for full 5v usb power!)
*4600mah Li-Poly battery for greatly extended battery life (8+ hours!)
*Built in S-video output port
*Relocated headphone jack
*NES D-Pad modification
*All new look (significantly modified GP2x case)
*Custom paintjob
*Custom box! (cool idea i had to make an official looking retail style package)

The goal is to have the gp2x completely done in time for the Midwest Gaming Classic so i can deliver it in person to my customer (and good friend) Kilgore!

PROGRESS:
case/cosmetics: 50% appx
wiring: 20-30% appx, have the joystick removed and all of the parts except the battery and protection circuit, should have that by end of january then its just a bunch of soldering to do!

Great project so far, nice to see you're sorting out the joystick and replacing it with a proper d-pad.

Massive pics are raping my Dell 9's teeny screen though :(
