2x 4000mah lipo batteries for $30 on ebay
LINK
No screen-stretching links, please! -B6
sorry for the long link. the url thing wasn't working. just cut and paste the whole thing.
says they have 10 available. 5.7 x 1.8 x .5 inches
if you separate the two cells and lay them next to each other, it would only be a quarter inch! for 4ah! for 15 each!

It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

The seller actually has 991 available.
I don't think he'll sell out anytime soon
But it is a good find if they are good quality and actually 4000mAh.

Not the circuit, the batteries.
They're 14.5cm long, basically 6".

Yea they are big. The 5000mAh I used in both my portables are only 3.5"x3.25". But they were $25 each , so $50 a pair + shipping. So about $58 a set, whereas these will be $15 a set shipped.jjhammerstein wrote:Isn't it kinda big for that?eurddrue wrote:wow, if jjhammerstein's charging circuit will work this would be awesome for a noac

Yours are pretty boxy. These are nice because they're long and low profile, you could put them anywhere without much change in final dimensions on the case.hailrazer wrote:Yea they are big. Huh? 3" longer and the same width and thickness is better ?jjhammerstein wrote: Yours are pretty boxy. These are nice because they're long and low profile, you could put them anywhere without much change in final dimensions on the case.

If these are the same kind I used (definitely not the same package, but they look the same), then two lying side-by-side are almost exactly the dimension of a mini-SNES, and will power that, a rather loud sound amplifier, and an LEd-modded (6 LEDS) PSOne screen for over 6 hours. I never actually ran out of batteries, I just decided to stop testing at six.
Hey, sup?

Umm maybe the link that jjhammerstein posted above ?collinE wrote:There is a site that you can buy safety circuitry for these batteries... only a couple of dollars and you can choose a size. Sometimes the ad pops up in these forums, but I can't remember what address is. Anyone?
