Don't squat with your spurs on and always drink upstream from the herd.

The best information is all in the stickies. If you don't feel you're good with soldering, get some old computer boards and practice adding and removing components. Aside from that, just read. All the information is on here.

Never put your project onto a carpet...and do try to not drop your screen on anything, including carpet (I somehow cracked a PS1 screen doing that.....)

Always hold the right part of the soldering iron. As a general note, if your hand is really hot and you smell something burning, you may be holding the wrong end. Or you finger is close to the iron and you are melting plastic. Both produce undesirable results

Because we get tired of answering questions that can be answered easily by yourself if you just SEARCH first.

Plus your question is horribly obscure and leaves to much to interpretation.

We should make an "assumed knowledge" thread. It'd really cut back on questions like "I want to build a nesp. What next?" and "Is it bad if you turn the system on underwater? I was working on it while taking a shower, and now it won't turn on!"

But to answer your question with a question, if you're only half a noob, are you a paraplegic, or did you have some kind of horrible science experiment performed on you?
