Mine was complete rubbish
I'll keep that in mind. Kinda funny though, because I need about $1000 to finish the damn thing.
That's kind-of a lot. :?

17" screen (Which cant be a HD monitor because I've yet to find a way to make the N64 output to a DVI plug (You'd think somebody would have made an adapter). LCD TV's are more expensive than LCD monitors for some reason). $600 was a good price. I remember that price. It was for a 15". The original size screen I planned for. 15" LCD TV, used, eBay. Minor surface scratches. Yup. I remember it. Didn't have the money to get it. Then I found out how big of a screen I could pack in. So I changed the design a little. Which increased the price.

Neither the $600 or the $1000 includes a battery. As its gonna take me long enough to get a screen for it, let alone get a battery that will power everything nicely. I will get one (Meaning "many"), but it will be long after the project is declared finished.

there is no adapter because it's just not that simple. DVI is digital, and the N64 outputs analog signals

I never said it was simple... I said it wasn't available.

So, why did you decide to do a laptop N64?
It almost seems like a waste, you'll have so much room in the bottom case, and almost nothing to put in it. :(

Should use a large series of NMHs.
Cheap, mid-weight, good capacity.

You could run foreeeever.

Fine using banks of batteries, however two consequences - weight and time it takes to recharge!

$600 for a 15" lcd tv?!?

Dude, I think Best Buy has 15" ones for like, under $200. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 4053472909

$1000 is REALLY a stretch for an N64 laptop, even if you are looking for ways to spend tons of money.

Also, VGA adapter would let you use most LCD moniters you can get on craigslist with your N64.

Nope. You'll just have to see. I am allowed to tease.

Slowly? Slowly would be I'm waiting for parts in the mail, and don't have time to work with what parts I have. My projects are in a coma. As I have no parts coming, and no money to buy them.

Neither of which bothers me. Besides, as I said (Teasingly) I have room in here for more than just batteries.

I'd like to not have a widescreen for this, but thats not a bad price. Thanks.

$1000 is a stretch, for sure. But I don't think I'm that far off considering what I have on my list.

I've actually looked at VGA adapters, but I cant find one that would do. If I was lucky enough to find a VGA-RCA, it used the wrong plugs.
