My First Mod: S-Cube

Post by Solar_Egg »

Hey guys this is Solar Egg here to flaunt my first mod! This is my modded Gamecube, the S-Cube (semi-Cube). (You see, it was a cube but is one no longer; and so it's a semi-Cube.) First off, this IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE PORTABLE! Second, the case could've been better had I not grown bored of sanding and sanding. You see we have other stuff to do! Third, yes, it's based off the SNES design, sorta... what with the "stripes" and all...
Also, in addition to this being my first mod, it is my first console. You see, we bought a gamecube with the intentions of gutting it. So, if I am slightly less experienced with all this than you, that's why.
Please leave comments or critisisms (but no profanity PLEASE)

If anyone's interested in pics of the innards, just let me know, my camera battery died while uploading.

I like it. It's very clean looking. It looks fairly top-heavy though.

Heh. Believe me, it stands up just fine; the screen is the lightest part (and is detatchable!). Glad you like it.

Hopefully I can get some more pics uploaded (of the back and sides)

Oh, btw, this is done. If it looks like it's not, then you need glasses. :?

Psssssshhhhhh. Basement Modder, my apprentice; you forgot to mention the ping-pong table that my S-Cube is resting upon. Silly fool.

All joking aside, thanks.

I quite like that. I would of thought the Screen comes on the other piece, but since the disk drive is there I suppose not.

Nice work.

Funky? That's not what I was going for, but thanks !
By the way, action-shots are can-do. I'll try to get some up asap.

Most beatiful gamecube mod i've seen in a while.
I'm happy that a fellow 13 year old is interested in modding.

Quirky yet attractive, very cool! And the fact that you're only 13 puts the icing on the cake for this one. Great job!
