Well, I'll be damned. Obama won. I had high hopes for Weegee too.

I waited 4 hours in line to vote today, I played OoT the whole time! *hugs my portable*

I'm fine with Obama. :P

I kinda want Obama to succeed, so that the people don't suffer. But seeing him fail would probably be worth it, even if he took us all down with him.

McCain had a great speech though, waiting for Obamas.

I had dread waking up this morning, and really seeing how much Obama won fill me with near disbelief. I can't believe that people would so willingly follow a man we know very little publicly about.

You guys who voted for him, better hope that he doesn't do something stupid like try to reform our whole economy, does nothing if we get another terrorist attack or worst goes through with his stupid tax plan. Cause I can promise you all that if any of this happens, we are totally screwed.

I'm pretty disappointed - I've seen Obama to be a great and inspiring speaker, with absolutely no experience under his belt, and a record of not voting.

The world is not going to end because Obama takes office. The media will have to find something to complain about now that their favorite Bush is almost out of the position.

This might be another Bill Clinton.

I just hope he can actually back up all the promises he's made. And I'm sure that he'll use my tax money to do it.

:x

He damn well better leave my guns alone too.

All those in disdain, I feel you, I'm saddened as well. This may not be the end of America, but it sure as hell is the start of a Socialist America. And to all those who want to compare him to Bill Clinton, I'm hoping you're right; but this is a far-left guy, moreso than good 'ol Slick Willy, and at least Newt Gingrich and the Republicans had a House/Senate majority to put him in gridlock for most of his administration. Very different situation now, I'm afraid...

Well, I know everyone else here isn't very happy, but I am finally optimistic about my future and the future of this country as a whole.

Ronald Reagan warned us about this, and call me crazy, but I'd believe him before any of the Socialist drones posting here or a Marxist president-elect with flowery rhetoric.

You quote the rules constantly, yet you still break them. There is a rule about backseat moderation no? The reason this thread isn't locked is becuase there actually IS some intelligant conversation going on here.

You say that like Regan's "trickle-down" economy worked any better.

20+ years later it still hasn't.
