Honestly? Facebook and myspace are useless tools unless they are used for real life friends. If you use it to actually talk to people it is kind of like using the conversation cards they have at those big parties. It falls flat because you don't really know them.

Sure, it's better than email, but for real friends. Seriously.

What do you think about having large number people on your friends list at social networking websites? And why do you think so?
Thanks! ^_^

Ah, I dont know. I usually have a lot of people that I don't know, but talk to, simply because I find them interesting. I make random adds on myspace for instance, just to meet someone that looks interesting.

Wait, you're Filipino?

Tallaga? Kayo magsalita tagalog then? Cool that you got at least a B-, kaibigan. Oh, the guilty party who bumped it is ang bago babae dito. Ala mo sino...

Neither do I. The only people you end up talking to are either creeps or IRL friends. I say talk to your real life friends in (get this!) REAL LIFE!

Says you, on an Internet forum.

There is no problem with social networking sites, I used to love bebo, but it quickly lost it's appeal by adding many silly, un-necessary features, trying to be too much. Only reason I will use it now is to look at comments people leave me, however I don't reply. I will send them a text message by phone or just call them, and anyone who's number I don't have, they mustn't be important enough and thus I don't need to talk to them on Bebo anyways.

Looking at pics on those sites is fun, but that's about it.

To answer your question, if you are posting items like your address, phone number, personal pictures, email, etc. then you probably should keep your friend's list to people that you know. However, saying that, I don't. It doesn't bother me...I have my msn on my bebo and my pictures, and accept everyone.

I use Facebook to contact all my old school mates from years ago and every couple of months we all meet up for a few beers and catch up.

Would not have happened if it werent for the internet/social networking sites :)

I met a few people through social networking sites.. so..

I know some people are probably too unapproachable to even bother letting people trying to make friends with them. Hmm....

Ah, si nogamegirL. Siguro pabayaan na natin, bago naman...

Rough Translation: Ah, so nogamegirl bumped the thread. I guess we can let it roll, considering she is very new.

Internet forums don't count as social networking sites. >_> Especially this is a modding forum primarily.

I also met my (now ex)girlfriend after speaking online for a couple of months, she was with a friend i know and pointed me out when they were on msn.

Next thing i know, we moved in together :) Still see her quite a lot.

See? Online friendship isnt so bad is it? I dont see no problem with meeting people online as long as you are safe and speak to them on the phone or on webcam (or have a mutual friend)

I'm not talking about the social networking site bit, I'm just referring to the whole
