I have softmoded plenty of 1.6 xbox's and they go just as any other version. I would reccomend SID4/5.

i just realized this..... I already took apart my xbox and started modding the size, but it isnt hardmodded or softmodded yet and the lights are blinking red when i turn it on is that bad????

Is your Harddrive and CD drive attached, if not it will not boot. If so check all your connections.

You do not need all the controller ports to boot, only 2 will suffice. But you do need to have the had drive and dvd drive in as well

ok ill try it again and can i use a web server if i softmod it, beacuse i thought the executer x3 modchip has a web server (i was going to use it)

Ill post some pictures when i get it modded, but my case is coming along pretty well im working on the hinges and looking for a screen. i was thinking about using a 11" widescreen (possibly a digital photo frame, but i cant find one that has video in)

I was thinking for the hard drive somthing small and I was wondering if an 160gb-60gb iPod hard drive would work if I got the right connector

For some reason i couldn't get it on my friend's 1.6.
You got some procedures or something?
