N64p in the works...

Post by wolfy13 »

Hey guys, I have been working on a n64p on and off since last June. I wrecked one n64 board and I think I fried the screen I was working on, so I got new ones and will be showing my progress here. I've been working on a zn-45 case and have some pictures, but they are old and from a crappy cell phone camera. Tonight I hope to take some better pictures to show you all.

I have limited time to work on it since it is at my dads house, and I usually stay at my moms. Ill keep you all posted and hopefully have good pics by tonight.

yes, it is going to be black. some heavy sanding there, I wanted to see how bad the flaws would be... They were bad

the back. I only primed this one and sanded around where the z button is going to be. the huge hole is for the cart slot. The L and R buttons are going to be on the top.

Are you going to keep the cart slot off center like that? Other than that, good progress so far. Also, if I were you, I would consider including the d-pad.

Yes, or else the z button will not fit the way it is.
I don't have any games where the d-pad is used, so I don't really need it.

And thank you :D

so more about the portable... Im using http://cgi.ebay.com/CHARGER-7-2V-3800mA ... 286.c0.m14<---that battery, which i dont think is that great and is too big. I should have at least gone for a name brand rc car battery, stupid frugalness... Also, I will probably start working on this again next weekend, when Im at my dads house (divorce sucks, even when emotionally your over it :?. just too damn inconvenient :x ) so hopefuly I will have more updates by then, or if I'm lucky, before then.

WHOA major bump.

This project is getting back on track and I didn't want to start a new thread. I want to buy new batteries (specifically these ) and want to know if with this protection circuit I could somehow use the ps1 screens AC adapter I could charge them? Any help is appreciated.

You would need a smart charger, like this: http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?P ... rodID=4207
