I hope to GOD that's not the reason you're supporting Obama. A video game dispute? What about foreign policy? What about their stance on fixing the economic crisis, Iraq/Iran, oil and alternative fuels? Is this what the youth has been reduced to? Political quarrels over video games being the decisive factor when voting? *face-palm*

Hey, Josh, while I think about it... where do you get your news, anti-Obama/Democrat videos, etc? I'm on Digg all the time for that stuff, but I'll be the first to admit that they're way left. I've always wondered what the worst that the right has to say about Obama, other than that false crap about him being a Muslim.

Oh, and for what it's worth, I really have no problem with individual Republicans, just the party as a whole. My two best friends are Republican, and we usually avoid the issues, or approach a few of them with caution.

I'm sorry, but if that's even a factor for president, then you don't deserve to vote. XD Besides, I'm sick and tired of people treating a Presidential candidate's opinions like they'll become law. Last time I heard, we still had a checks and balances system in place, and on a speech issue like game regulation, there would be mitigating between all three branches over many years. Besides, this was a hot-button issue back in, what, 1994? It's been all but settled in this day and age, and the only politician who ever actually gave a damn about it, Joe Lieberman, has recognized on numerous occasions that the ESRB already does a fine job and the government need not intervene.

And by the way, guys, I hold nothing against any of you for opinions, and I'm sorry if I seem a bit over-the-top, because the truth is, I am. Some of my close friends are, literally, Communists, but I still think highly of them as individuals. And Brian's right, I'm not so extreme in the real world. As far as where I get my news from, mostly Conservative talk radio, as well as stuff like the Associated Press and the Drudge Report. I listen to Rush Limbaugh and John Gibson for entertainment value, but they're very talking-point oriented. Mark Levin is good if you want invective, but he's not exactly level-headed, either. I actually read a lot of leftist stuff like the Huffington Post to get both sides. I used to a lot more when I was first developing opinions, but instead of daily, it's become more of a once-a-week thing.

Though I gotta say, for anyone out there who is mildly interested in this stuff, especially you, Brian, because you strike me as an objective guy, listen to Dennis Prager. You may not agree with him on everything, but he's truly a wise man and presents very logic-based, calm, and insightful arguments to many mainstream Democratic ideals. Plus, most of his guests are Democrats, so even if you don't like his opinion, you'll get to hear a lot of both sides, which is good.

EDIT: As for you who are worried about the "new" CTFan (which is not really true, I've always been like this, just ask Sky or Triton ) I'll go back to my "normal" self once all this election stuff calms down. There's just something magical in the air this time of year...

Use your head, and read between the lines: Its a sign of intelligence. Blaming the people, rather than the software. If hes intelligent about that, then logic dictates that he'll be intelligent about something else.

Mainly because I agree with him more on the issues, but also because McCain seems to hold too many of the ideas Bush does, I've seen McCain use religious terms a lot more (separation of church and state?), and (like Jones said) Palin being next in line if McCain dies of old is a scary thought.

Plus, I don't put any more faith in a military president getting us out of a war we shouldn't be in in the first place than I do an oil baron president leading us to energy independence.

Come on, it's a public showing. You know that as well as I. I'd agree that the hometown crap from Palin and these BS personal stories from Biden are disingenuous and don't matter a hell of a lot to me, but they do matter to the masses, and early pollings are showing it.
