Speaking of this, I am pissed because the Office won't be on because of the stupid debate between Old White Dude and Republachick.
Wait the running mates are going to have a debate with each other?

Let's not go to political dabates, mind you.

Anyway, my move from Philippines to Canada went smoothly. Except for the fact that my gear is 220V and the local grid is 110V. We use the NTSC system and it isn't that bad during winter.

The first place we stayed in has a neighbor with his WiFi open. Of course he didn't mind if we "borrowed" it for a few days while we get everything up.

I dunno, The Office is hilarious, and I really wanna see what happens with Michael and Holly, but if Biden shows up smashed again, it could be just as funny.

I'm sick of all these stereotypes. Canada is the same as the states for the most part, except our foods aren't loaded with excess sugar and salt, and we don't start wars with countries we don't like.

We use NTSC. Just like America.

We have colder winters, yes, but we also have 30 degree summers. Just like America (Although we use the more sensical metric system)

We eat healthier, generally. On a ski trip, we went grocery shopping in the states once (Well, more than once, but I'm referring to a specific recent-ish event), and I swear, the cheddar was SO full of salt I couldn't stomach a single piece on its own.

There's less fat people. Horrible to say, I know, but it's 100% true. We have far less fat people than the states does.

We add "u"'s to things like "Colour" and "Labour"

Some of us strive to be unique, to not blend in, without getting awkward stares or getting beat up. Sure, every place has its shady places, but in general, if you stay away from Toronto, you're in the clear. Mind you, Toronto is probably one of the most multicultural cities in Canada.

I'm sure I've referred to this in the past. Yes, our cities are, for the most part, less crowded. But that doesn't mean we all live in Nunavut. In fact, once you get half-way up Ontario, there's about one person for every 2 square kilometres.

Actually, as you can see here, we dump trash on our side. It's YOUR fault for not creating a proper border in the middle of the lakes!

UMMM, we are not liberal anymore we are Conservative... liberal equals left wing, conservative equals right wing. From what I know about American politics McCain is the Republican AKA right wing. That is really quite sad when a Canadian knows more about the American political system than an American.

So, you wanna move to Canada (or will be) Well, let me tell you all about it.

1. Alberta is the bee's knees. We only pay a 5% tax on things we but (Goods and Services Tax) where as all the other provinces pay a 5+% PST (Provincial Sales Tax) on everything you buy. Alberta is the only Province not in debt, we are running a 4ish billion dollar surplus. A few years ago everyone got a $300 check for living there. So, it is pretty sweet living here.

2. Free Health Care: Every legit citizen of Canada gets free medical care. Contrary to popular belief, out health care does not suck and I have never had any issues. When I broke my arm I was on morphine withing 2mins of getting to the hospital.

3. People like Canadians: Unlike Americans, people all over the world like Canadians. It is like the get out of jail free card for international traveling.

4. We do not live in igloos and we have mild weather. It is extremely rare that it gets to -30*c in the winter. Alberta also has great places to do activities, we have mountains; for snow boarding, we have foothills for hiking, etc.

5. Our legal system is pretty slack, it take a lot to get a life sentence. Our crime rates are lower then that of the US.

6. Most of Canada HATES Quebec. In 1995 Quebec had a vote of who wanted to stay a province of Canada or Become their own Country. The voting ended up being 49.6% wanted to leave and 5.4% wanted to stay. And for that I hate them. Also, they act like their own little country with political systems taking on the name of national assembly or something like that. Their only official language is french, where as the rest of Canada minus New Brunswick is all English. Real french people from France laugh at Quebec cause they are so pathetic.

7. Alberta is in desperate need of workers. It would be really easy to get a job here. There is actually people who bring in foreign workers for you. Our minimum wage in Alberta is about $8.75 but everyone makes more than that. Burger King pays like $11 for a fry cook.

8. We spell color with a u (colour), grey instead of gray, etc.

9. We are freaking friendly. Everyone says sorry!

10. Our economy is not falling apart.

11. We are the #1 supplier of plutonium (going to go up soon) and lets not forget the gigantic amount of oil.

12. Also, our dollar is basically the same as yours. Give or take a few cents.

Um, I think the correct word would be "Give" a few cents ;)...
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

That is NOT true. However, whoever wins won't stop the value of the dollar from dropping, so a better phrase would be "There will be no difference regardless of who wins"

Ontario residents now pay 14% in taxes on everything. Yeah, it's a lot. But hey, I like where I live!

Every few winters it does get -30 C around here for a day or two. But it literally is a one-in-one-thousand chance.

Legal system being slack is NOT GOOD. I know plenty of people who should be in jail by now, but are allowed to roam free. Mind you our crime rates are a lot lower, in part due to smaller, tightly-knit communities.
grey instead of gray
Funny story. So I was playing warcraft 3 a long time ago, in a custom game of risk. (Awesome custom map by the way)

So grey was dominating and I was doing pretty okay myself, and we decided to ally. So I typed in the command "-ally grey"

He got really pissed off that I wouldn't ally him and wouldn't stop attacking him (we were adjacent, I think), even though I kind of did.

Turns out the game was American, and an oversight on my (and the creator's) behalf led to only "gray" being accepted. Which is weird, because "grey" is so much better.

Grrrr-eh!

I so agree Ben. The premiere was so great, and now the vice presidential candidates have to ruin it for us and make us wait another week.

Oh and I also agree about it not mattering. Not to mention, NJ is so hardcore democratic it's not even funny, so it doesn't matter which way I vote (I don't consider myself a member of either party, and think they both need some serious help).

Never being to Canada, I say this out of prejudice, but Canada seems ridiculously awesome; I'd kill to take a free trip up north. :P

Perhaps go travel to Alberta or Toronto before living there, of course. If you do, let me know how it goes!
