Hi, I have been a leacher here for a while, and I have finaly decided I will try to make my own portable. I have a Sony PSone screen, and I have already taken my 16 bit Genesis apart. Now because the PSone screen takes AV and the Gen outputs RF, are there any wires I can connect or anything? Now before someone tells me to search, I have and have found nothing. And if there are any other screens that I can use for it, perferably <$50 please let me know.
Thanks

You can get composite video from the Genesis easily. (At least with the 2 and 3 models, the RF modulator is in that little box you hook up to the TV. That box is just a composite to RF adapter.)
Model 1:

Model 2, 3, 32x, Nomad, and (presumably) CDX:

Here's a composite (and S-Video!) mod done to a model 1:

Thanks for the quick responce! Sorry for being a n00b, (I am only 15) and I am not sure what to do.... Now if I am right, a composite cord is the same as a AV cable, so would I take apart the RF box, cut a AV cable, and hook the wires from the AV cable ot the wires in the RF box? I am using one of those Ipod speaker things that plugs into the headphone jack so I dont have to worry about sound. Also, how do I know what model it is?bicostp wrote:You can get composite video from the Genesis easily. Model 1 is big and rectangular, with a volume slider and headphone jack.
Model 2 is smaller and square, with no headphone jack.
Model 3 is smaller still, and has a big '3' printed on it.
It's not rocket science.
