Photoshop Game - The Retroizer - 56K Warning

Post by chad78 »

Ok - so people on this forum like to take old systems and make them new by making them portable, or adding features, or both.... Kind of inspired by Palmertech's Power Game Boy, how about taking a new system and making it look Old's Cool.

My horribly ugly and quick example The XES 8080

What can you come up with? A wood paneled Wii? A toggle switch covered PS3? A GameCube controller with a number pad?

Maybe another example (better than the craptastic one I did to start out with) will help. Although, the Genecast is exactly what I was talking about. Here's a not-done-by-me-or-anyone-I-know example of what I was talking about. Presenting the Sony PSP 2600 (found here).

apparently worth1000.com really doesn't like hotlinking to their images....

I destroyed a dead SNES once to see what is inside - with a hammer - does that count as console hacking?

That actually may not a be a bad idea to make if someone had the time to make it. If had 2 PSP's around here. I would might try to make that.

The Original original Xbox - from 1997....

Image

Based on Phillip's Web TV (designed for Microsoft's precursor to MSN TV) a Microsoft Sidewinder controller, in-house logo for the Xbox (seen on jackets made for the team) - and the fact that the original Xbox "color" was blue - not green, just like everything else MS made at the time.
