3-pin (fan type) molex connectors

Is there a normal accepted method to soldering wires to them? Ive only tried this once before and i went through a ton because i heat up the pin so much that it melts the casing and the pin falls out.

Nope, just solder like you would anything else. I always cover the soldered end with hot glue once I'm done to prevent the wires from coming off.

Yeah........REALLY should get a hot glue gun.....
