Help with a Sega CD

Post by 69NovaSS »

Looks like I have all kinds of troubles it seems. I have sega cd that Ive had a few years and tryed it out today and along with my 32X no worky. I think I already know my prob but I'm not sure. Its the one that plugs into a 2nd gen genesis. I used a 10V power cord and put a Sonic CD in and got jack squat. The bottom says it needs a 9V cord but I figured it would at least sound like it was doin something anybody shed some light? Do I just have a bad system?

If you're not using the original power supply, the polarity might be backwards, in which case the Sega CD would do absolutely nothing.

Do you have power plugged into the Genesis? You need power plugged into both units to work.

Yeah I got power to both. So I figured it was the power supply but I wasn't positive. It would be great if thats all it is. Any other ideas on it? Hopefully not but...
