Sounds familiar... throw in some athletics or drama depending on the season, but I do believe every high schooler is enslaved by this repetitive system. :( I'm hoping that with my license and a car things will get "mixed up" a little this year, but my hopes aren't exactly sky high in that domain, either.
Don't forget that in junior high, when there are seven kids in your class, that everyone gets all pissy by the end of the day, that usually ends up in a little excitement.

The only difference is you don't have to ask your parents or friends to drive you places. Pretty much all you gain is convenience.

*sigh* You got a testimonial here. I do try to mix up stuff but hell, I don't get the time.

At weekends I do projects, assignments and crap. I find a little time to rest.

I may never get to drive at all, considering how my parents are terrified on me playing Need for Speed and Burnout.

I guess I am the lucky guy! I was homeschooled till I was 13, then I started taking a few private classes along with city college classes. This year, most of my classes are city college classes. I can get high school and college credit at once! By the time I am 18, I will have completed high school along with my first two years of college general ed. Then, I can transfer to UCI to get a degree in informatix! By them time I am 20, I will have a four year degree. 8) I went to the show off day for that degree, it looks awesome, anyone here should look into it.

BTW, I start September 9th. :D CTF, I think that you would do a lot better doing something like I am, it lets you set your own schedule.

don't expect too much extra excitement unless you really try to make plans with friends.

You have no idea how much I envy that education style. Around middle school, I realized that my constantly exceeding the system was something that could be taken into my own hands, and I lobbied to my parents and my school district to let me dual enroll somewhere, become home-schooled, or leave entirely. Ultimately, though, no matter what private institution accepted me, the overlying decision was that my school wouldn't fund the excursion, and my family just didn't have the money to do it. :( I'm trying as hard as I can to get ahead and set my agenda with AP classes and college courses after school, but it would seem, as I stated before, I've just become another victim of the bureaucratic takeover of the school system.

And people wonder why so many kids, from the mental ingrates to the irregularly intelligent, hate school.

I love the department of education, don't you? You know, that one in the executive branch of the federal government that usurps the power reserved for the state governments by the Constitution of our fine country? I just wish we could give more things to the federal government that those idiots either left out or were distributed elsewhere.

Its the end of compulsory education, you get GCSE's at 16 (General Certificate of Secondary Education) and leave school. Most people go on for another two years at college (different to college in the US sense) to do A levels which i finished this year.

Then if that went well its off to University (College)

But UK college is a lot different to school, much more relaxed

I have always hated my Highschool, WAAAAY!!!! tooo much drama, I absolutely hate drama.

So I am probably going to be doing a homeschool type thing through a computer this year, not to mention all my friends have graduated or are going to a Career center that they won't let me do my academics at, and I refuse to go to the highschool for my academics.
