I imagine that actually feels a bit like a regular job schedule...

You know what day it is based on what time you have to be somewhere, and it's a pattern you just live by.

Fifth year college senior here - it's amazing how long it takes to finish a four year degree :x

I just had my first day of class for the semester. I didn't realize this until last night, but three of my four lecture classes are in the same room in the science building. I had physical chemistry at 8 in the morning, chilled in the computer lab from 9 to 10, and then went back to the same classroom at 10 for inorganic chemistry. Small price to pay for being done with classes by 11 o'clock on Mondays!

Seriously though, big time science nerd classes for me this semester: physical chemistry I, inorganic chemistry and lab, calculus 3 (second time around on that one), and directed research. Directed research should be cool - I get to work with a faculty member on their actual ongoing research. Some of the stuff I do may actually get into a published paper one day.

Tell me about it. I was a PGE (Petroleum and Geosystems Engineer) for my first two years. Found out that it was very boring so I transfered to EE. So I am about a year behind. Plus I am going for my Masters and possibly a PhD so I can teach upper division courses when I get out of industry (being a professor is a good pre-retirement job), So I am looking at 5-6 more years...maybe more.

I have a friend who just graduated as a 5th year senior last semester. He was an IT major.

For all of you in college, I envy you. I'm tired of the grindy, day-to-day schedule of high school, especially in a failing high school. I'm taking a rigorous schedule and trying to specialize it towards my goals, but there's just so many mandatory classes. :( Only two more years, I suppose...

Eh... My life gets repetitive during school...

Wake up, eat, toothbrush, wash, dress, go to school, study, lunch, study, go home, assignment, internet for a little, eat, wash, sleep, repeat.

Sounds familiar... throw in some athletics or drama depending on the season, but I do believe every high schooler is enslaved by this repetitive system. :( I'm hoping that with my license and a car things will get "mixed up" a little this year, but my hopes aren't exactly sky high in that domain, either.
