Portable-Palooza (voting thread opened!)

why is everyone talking about my entry? ive already said i wont be entering because there is no possible way i can get a system done in that time limit because of my other obligations (eg finishing 2 other portables, starting my new job, doing work around the house etc) and my system closest to completion isnt eligible because i started it months ago

During my lunch break I made this based off the parts that came in today.

oh I almost forgot.

During my lunch break I made this based off the parts that came in today.

You feel like explaining why it has SNES controls and starfox on the screen while the game cartridge sticking out is a NES cartridge?

Is it that hard to figure out? Voodoo magic is the easiest explanation.

Man, I missed when this forum wasn't getting a lot of posts. Though I can't enter the compo at this point, I love to read the stories about production and the secrecy.

just a small update on mine. the case is looking most excellent. if you thought the handyduo was looking good, man, this one is blowing that out the water!

am i gonna have any other bondo masters to compete with...? LoB isn't doing bondo... and triton doesn't have time... anybody...?

tho I dont know how you would pronounce "QoB"

Curly Maple is indeed awesome. The grain is super tight so you can get the thickness down below 1/8" to about 3/32". Not as thins as 1/16" plastic but its close

. If I can get my hands on some burled maple I can probably reach 1/16" in thickness without fear of breakage.
