Hahahahahahahaaha....cough, hack, cough....

Sorry but that cracked me up.

You can't hardly buy the parts to make an N64p for $100

N64
PS1 Screen
Good batteries
Case
Etc...

Oh and to answer your question......No !!!

I sincerely doubt it. parts alone cost a pretty penny, but add in labor and attachment, I doubt anyone will part with a hand-built N64p for under $100

If you aren't able to make one yourself then you have to pay for the skills for someone to do it for you (as well as the cost of all the bits for it too). That costs. You can make your own for under $100 (if using mains and not batteries), so make your own! (use my guides if you like).

Put this into context - to rip apart an N64, controller, memory card, put heatsinks in, connect all the wiring including relocating the memory card and game cart can be done in a day (about 8 hours or so) - however making a case and fitting everything together, finishing the case, etc takes weeks. Literally. $$$$

SS - $300 is a fair price, however nintendo fan is only offering a cheapskate and unrealistic $100. Anyway, don't sell it, keep it.

Yeah, i've had a couple of PM's in the past, as I am sure most modders have here. As soon as they realise you don't work for free, assuming of course you are interested in making a system for someone else in the first place, they vanish!

I'm going to assume you meant "can I buy the parts to build a N64 portable for less than $100?" and not "will someone build me a N64 portable for $100."

I'm not at all sure that's what you actually meant, but if you did mean the latter, then you've already been sufficiently berated for the foolishness of that idea.

So yes, while I have never attempted any sort of N64 portable, I think you could easily build one for $100, as long as you already have a N64 and controller (or can buy one for ~$20). I imagine that the screen, batteries, and case (even a craptacular one) would easily cost you ~$80 or so, though. And that's with the cheapest screen you can find and the cheapest batteries that still have a reasonable mAh rating.

Price check:
N64 $25 - $30
Decent Batteries $50
Decent Charger $25 -were over 100 now-
Decent Screen $50
Bits and Bobs(as bacteria calls it :P) $20(at the lowest)
Shipping(everything together) $40

At the lowest you'll be paying $210 in parts, assuming you dont have anything, and even if you do, only someone who has made one can telll what they need. I know exactly how many leds, switches, tacts, and things I need when I start a portable.

I've spent about $400 on my portable and I've been lucky enough to not break anything. Breaking something like the screen would really start to ramp up the prices.
