My first system was an old Game Boy and my first game on it was Pokémon Red.

I lost that game like 7 years ago and have never quite gotten over that loss.

I miss that game.

Super Mario World, for SNES, I can still remember my mother, sister and I going to Toys R Us to pick it up, and my sister telling me I was too young to play.
SMW is still one of my favorite games, definitely my favorite from the 16-bit generation.

I don't recall for certain, but if I had to venture a guess it would be either Combat or Asteroids for the Atari 2600.

Man, I said before that my first game was Downland, but now that I think about it. It might have been Jump Joe or Choplifter for my old Tandy computer. 4kb ram baby!

If anyone remembers Jump Joe, basically you are a Janitor (stickman) who has to collect keys to finish the level. You must do this while avoiding laser shooting robots. Possibly the best game idea ever!

LoZ Link's Awakening DX (gbc) <- best game ever!
Super Smash Bros. (n64)

Hmm, probably either Rocky's Boots or Gertrude's Secrets. Yay, PC games on our old 8088.

Yay for my dad only buying educational games and not letting me buy a game system until in high school.
/sarcasm
However, thank goodness for our public library having games so I could borrow Red Alert, Total Annihilation, etc...

Pong. 1975. I was 9 at the time. The bright white against the black screen left ghosting as you moved the paddle, made your eyes feel funny after a while.

My oldest moving memory is of playing videogames. I must have been about 3 at the time. We had an atari 1040ST (i still have it and play sometimes). No idea what the "first" game i played. But Kid GP, Pang, Dynamo and Wizball were the ones i played all the time.

The first game i ever bought was the original Command and Conquer for PC in 95'

Computer game: "35 more great games for Windows 3.1" Had a bunch of fun stuff in it and came on three floppies. Ran great on our old Compaq 386.

Console game: some SNES game, first was either Donkey Kong Country or Super Mario World

Handheld: Pokémon Yellow
