Just about done with university myself. Between UT Dallas and Baylor, college has been an interesting experience, to say the least. Advice for those entering college in the future: check out your roommates ahead of time unless you know who you will be living with. Also, only get a meal plan if you can't cook or your girlfriend/spouse/significant other can't either; most cafeterias aren't that great and you'll end up spending between $8-11 per meal if you buy into one. Lastly, try to only drink if your legal; not to nag, but a Hell of a lot of colleges and universities have begun major crackdowns on illicit substances and alcohol. Well, at least stay away from drugs, that's some major time there.

That is really good advice about the meal plan although some universities force you into one, especially as a freshman. However, it is important to note that people ALWAYS seem to have too much or too little on their plan. Too much and they kiss that money good bye, too little and they are starving during finals.

Also, drinking costs you a lot of money. If you are on a dry campus then you should be doubly cautious about drinking even if you are old enough to do so. They can and will kick you out of the dorms for drinking on a dry campus.

Congratulations to all the recent graduates. I am very impressed with how much intelligence is gathered at this forum for such young people. (I'm 23 which means I am just starting to have 'oldest person in the room' moments. )
