Alternative screen for Atatri Portable?

I am trying to get the parts together to build an atari portable but am having trouble finding a casio ev 680 here in Aus, any suggestions? I have a 7" portable DVD player and was wondering if I would be able to use the sfcreen out of that yes? no?

DVD player is an option, but only some models will work. More info on it would help.

Sorry it took so long to respond but just found where the missus put it

Is an AWA 7" model PDV-200 I think that is the model number.

Has video in/out audio in/out volume, power on/off, dc in 9/v, a battery pack.

Anything else you need to know?

The video in is a good sign. The only problem would be if the DVD controller board was the only one, or if it converted it to a special signal for the screen's controller board. The only way to check those is to take it apart or find pictures of a similar one that someone else has taken apart. If the DVD player is just collecting dust, I'd just take it apart and check. If you open it up and you can't figure out if it'll work, take some nice big pictures and post them here (use imageshack or photobucket for free hosting).

I took the back of the screen off, hopefully you can get the information you need from that, the pics are not the best very hard taking pics up close even on macro, any tips?
