portable Atari 2600 on ebay question

Post by Evan3585 »

I just got the book and am interesting on making a Atari 2600. I got a few questions.I'm new to all this but im going to learn. I prob wont sell my first one I make but was wondering If I could sell the units on ebay? How much you all think it would sell for?? oh course it depends on quailty but an average price would be nice. Another question I have is for the Atari 2600 CNC-built project kit for 75 bucks. Was wondering if he is still making those for people. I see he takes paypal but dont know how outdated the page might be becuse some of the links dont work anymore like the templates, patterns, and decal graphics zip file for example. Sorry Im trailin off with more questions that isnt on this subject I posted.I'll stop:) Thanks for your time.

Custom portables go for $350+ on average. You have to take into account, the system, time it took, and materials, to get a more precise number.

I don't know if Ben still does the cases, best thing to do is to ask, or if he as an order request, use it.

As for PayPal, yeah Ben accepts that, plus an extra 3% (off set what PP takes for themselves).

Not that I could do any better but I need to figure something out. I dont have all the tools for this and I'm not buildin a plastic vaccum thingy lol. thanks agian

I think the price has been steadily dropping. It's hard to get $250 now.

At least the last one I sold made by Ben himself only got me $250.

Actually I think it was $275. I wanted $300 but didn't get it.

Of course it sold in 2 hours. Maybe it would have drawn more on Ebay or if I waited a bit :)
