The pictures are very misleading on size. Its actually a very small case.

The game slot is mostly soldered for its new location (2/3rd's done). After that, I'll test the unit. I've checked all my joints with a VOM, and everything is not only solid, but not touching. Considering soldering has never been my strong point, I'm happy about these results, and the speed they've happened.

I mean, seriously. A few short hours ago I had just started. And I took a one hour break because my neck was killing me. I think I'm done for the night though. My necks starting to kill again. And I'm getting a bit tired.

I still need to pick a "sacrificial game" just in case all hell breaks loose when I test it. I'm thinking I'll use NFL Quarterback Club '98.
look on ebay. You can get a crap game for 3 bucks.

If I wire something wrong; several things can happen:

A) Game Death
B) Motherboard Death
C) Both...with Smoke.

Well, since I'm not the one who bumped it...

I guess I'll post this thought:

You wanted it to finish on your 300th post... You have 536 now... Yah, so...
so much for that plan...
Cheers,

I'll keep that in mind. Kinda funny though, because I need about $1000 to finish the damn thing.

Meh, it's a hobby. I spent a ton of cash on my first (canceled) SNESp, mainly because I was buying all kinds of tools and buying lots of materials in bulk, so I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. Even though I never finished the project, I don't regret starting it, 'cause now I have like everything at hand.
