I would LOVE to see an interpreter that one could play the games made with the game's engine. And even better, I would love to see it ported to other systems, like the Dreamcast, the GP2X, and (providing it's actually worth it) the Pandora.
And also, it would be awesome if they had a game creation part, preferably that doesn't require scripting. Why? Cuz I suck at memorizing crap like that, but other people aren't, so make requiring code optional. Many other game makers do this. And then people, objects, etc could then be quickly assembled by polygons and then given the proper code.
I love the Alone in the Dark trilogy and...

The New Nightmare doesn't count. It's not a continuation of the first three, and thus isn't part of the original trilogy. And it was also out on the PC, PlayStation, and the GameBoy Color.gamer2 wrote:Actually its not a trilogy. There are four games out now. Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare is on Dreamcast.
I mean the original trilogy. Though I haven't played part 3 yet. I've played the first two.

Its addition to the series makes it a Quadrilogy. I think its a fine installment and it does count.Zero Cool wrote:The New Nightmare doesn't count. No it isn't. If it was, then it wouldn't take place in present day. You see, The New Nightmare abandoned the Lovecraftian inspiration in favor of Giger-esque design. And also, if it was a sequel, it wouldn't be in present day unless the main character wasn't the same guy from the first few games. I mean, it's an alternate timeline at best.gamer2 wrote:Its addition to the series makes it a Quadrilogy. The old games took place in a Cthulhu mythos-inspired setting, circa the 1930s. The new game uses more modern styles and designs and is set in present day.
I mean, then it would either:
A) Not feature Edward Carnby as the main character, or
B) Not take place in present day
Know your stuff.
And remember what I said in the original post.
