Only thing we got here in Dayton is the Air force Museum, but they renamed it to the Nation Museum of the United States Air force, nothing else here nothing else to see here but bums walking through downtown.

Yep, everyone seems to hates Americans, why do you think we get screwed over on gas prices? Freakin' Australia pays $00.25 a gallon for gas, Middle East pays $00.12 for for a gallon, and we are sitting here paying $3.50 for a gallon of regular

I am sure people in the U.K are getting screwed over on gas prices too, but I know they hate Americans in England, because my cousin went to go visit his brothers (Half brothers actually) there last summer and he had to go with his brother everywhere he went, or he would have got the shi* beat out of him.

Its not all that bad, those people that would beat your cousin would just as soon try to beat me up for having a green mohawk, they hate anyone even remotely different from them.

We dont on the whole have a problem with Americans, its more your Government we have a problem with.

Go ahead and have problem with my government all you want. Heck, I have a problem with my government. I just try not to judge whole cultures based on the idiots in charge, and just hope others do the same for me.

That said, I would love to visit Britain. So much history! Birthplace of Shakespear, Purcell, etc. Not to mention Newcastle brown ale.

I Personally dont, but i can see why it is hard not too. The only view of America most people outside get is the pre-fab corporate garbage that is forced on our TV.

Plus its just human nature unfortuntly to do the "nationalism" thing.

P.S Look out for Scrumpy too  , i understand you guys dont really do the whole Cider thing. It'd be an experiance

I honestly don't think any one culture is truly superior to another. If you think about it, the USA, as we know it, is less than 300 years old. Yes, it's a rich, advanced culture, but other cultures are thousands of years older. Obviously, they have something going for them if they've managed to survive that long. I don't like to compare any two cultures because it's really a bit like comparing apples to orangutans. How can you do it on an unbiased scale? Of course, when all you see is the garbage the media throws down everyone's throat, it's pretty easy to see us as an inferior culture. ;)

I confess, if I saw you walk down the street with a green mohawk, I'd stare a bit, but I'd be thinking "I wish I had the guts and the freedom to get away with it."

I've heard about the Cider thing. I'd love to give it a go. BTW, have you ever read the South Coast Diaries? I don't know how much is exaggeration, but I read it back when he was actually posting those, and I was rather intrigued.

Congrats Spongey! :D

Well I've decided that instead of going to college right away after I graduate in June, I'm gonna work my ass off for the summer, combine the money I make from that with the money I have saved up, and I'm going to Australia for a year with my friend. I'm gonna get a working Visa so can work while there, and go on a "working holiday". I have places to stay for free with my friend's various family members so all I'll have to worry about as far as expenses go is travel, food and booze 8) Not a bad deal if you ask me.

That sounds like one hella plan, Khaag. If you find a great job, you might even consider becoming a permanent resident.

Who knows! I'm gonna check out various schools while I'm down there. I just figured that I should get some of my travelling out of the way before I buckle down and go to school again, becuase after college, I'll have to get a job, and then when am I suppose to see the world?! Its the perfect plan. :)

I hadnt before, but its quite a funny read, i reckon the truth has been bent slightly, but not far. I know a few people like those he writes about so i can tell its from someone with experiance

Plus ive had most of those cheap cider's he lists, gets the job done, but there are proper ciders out there that taste much nicer (avoid anything either a: in a plastic bottle or b: with "white" anywhere in the name cos that spells cheap strong and full of chemicals)
