Jones and I decided this week to do the next podcast as a video podcast and film it at MGC. We might even do an impromptu "intro". The event should lend itself to video better than our previous video 'casts.

If anyone is interested in helping us film, let me know. It will be done with my crappy old Digital 8 Sony that was ducked taped to a jet ski and strapped beneath a truck (and keeps ticking)

I plan to be there both days. I wish it was a little later in the year, but I think there was too much competition for the space during the spring.

If anyone is looking for a place to stay let me know. I am on the North Side of Milwaukee. It is a longer drive than staying at the hotel but its free and I have a workshop full of equipment available if you needed to work on a project.

Are any of you guys with Wiis bringing yours to MGC along with SSBB?

I'm just curious as I haven't played it and wouldn't mind trying it out if someone was going to have it there.

Looking forward to MGC although (like others have said) I wish it was later in the year. I enjoyed being able to eat outside last year. Probably won't have that luxury this time around...

For those that are getting in on the hotel room, please check your email. To make sure I don't get stiffed, I gotta ask for half now, half later. I sent an email a few days ago, and have only had 2 people get back to me. Don't worry, I'm on the level with all this, I swear! I think gannon and G-force can vouch for me as far as booking hotels go, and marshallh, wallydawg, CTFan, and Triton can vouch for me being a cool guy.

Bad news...I don't think I'll be coming. Some stuff has come up and I don't think I will have any money and I might be doing something else those days. If things turn around (doubt it) I might be coming, but for now, mark me off the list.

Here's the deal: I have no job, no girlfriend, no projects or anything of the sort. For the next 5 months I'm wasting away in front of my computer. Next Saturday I work, but if by some miracle I'm allowed to travel to Wisconsin on my own, I've got nothing better to do, so...

Don't count me in, I'm just looking at my options. Let's say I fly over. Then I'm stuck at an airport. Cabs are expensive. (So are planes). And so are hotels.

I'll try my best to come if this can all be kept under $200 CAD (not like the currency exchange matter all too much).

I'll probably lug mine on over, Jones, but I've only got one Gamecube controller, so someone else may have to bring those.

And I know how you feel about the weather, Michigan's not much better. Just two more years 'till college, then I'll be somewhere warm (I hope)!

Since we had a few people dropping out (usually friends of people) I decided to drop down from 2 suites to a room and a suite, since it's cheaper. Before there were enough people that the savings would have been split up so much, it wouldn't have amounted to much. Now that less people are paying, the savings would be split among less people. However, because of the people dropping out since the email, it's still looking like it'll be about the same ($35/person for both nights)

Yeah...no way I'm gonna make it this year. Next year, if I have my own car, for sure. I'll sleep in it, save on hotels :P

But next year if I have my own car, I'd gladly pick up some people along the way. Driving is fun. I'd pick up anyone along lake michigan, I'd need to wrap around almost the entire thing, From the right, around the bottom, to the left.

It's only a 10 hour drive...that's 10 hours of listening to music! :D

I am defiantly going! I only live about an hour away (I'm a little west of Kenosha). I might have a little progress with a new project of mine called the TinyNES which is exactly what is sounds like. Hope to see you all there!

Cool! I can try to remember to bring one of my Gamecube controllers along as well. Hopefully we'll have time to check it out on Saturday.

Yeah, this winter has been something else. It has really made start thinking about whether or not I want to continue to live in this part of the country. As annoying as the snow is, I imagine some part of me would miss it if I moved to a warmer climate though. Damned if you do and damned if you don't I guess!

Then come on over to the northeast! Sure we get snow, but no lake-effect blizzards, tornadoes, or tropical hurricanes to worry about. 8) (Except Buffalo, NY. They get pounded with snow every year.) You just have to worry about drivers around here; Boston's spaghetti road network and Rhode Island in general make for hazardous conditions. I think this year we got a total of a foot ofsnow, and a lot of that came in short spurts that only lingered for a little while.

The only really bad thing? We're far from the MGC. :(

Another lodging update: we're really gonna squeeze in here. Since we have 11 people in the suite (may be 10, not sure if one of my friends will go for sure or not) and 2 won't even be sleeping in the room (at their dad's instead) I decided to drop down to 1 suite... the good news is, it'll be just less than $30/person the way things are going. I'll wait until I have the final numbers for everything, but I'll refund those that have paid in full once the event starts. I'll try to bring a few inflatable air mattresses, but it'd be nice if people can bring what they can in terms of blankets, pillows, towels, and additional air mattresses/sleeping surfaces
