Value of complete NES action set in perfect condition?

Post by turbolover »

The box isnt dented wrinled or faded in any way, no tears, original styrofoam, palstic bags that everything comes in in, manuals etc. two controlelrs, original orange zapper. what would you say this is worth? I have a new slot ordered as it does need replaced. I managed to nab this along with an extra controller and a bunch of games (many still in original boxes) for $45 on craigslist.

That price sounds about right if it's not too beat up.

Just for future reference, the Trading Post is for selling things, it's not the Antiques Roadshow forum. :)

It's maybe worth $100. I have sold a few on eBay for $80 in Like New condition.

Sound like a killer steal. But then again, I got my MINT boxed NES for free from a room mate of my cousin, who had this sitting in her basement when she got her town house, and just wanted to throw it away. I have seen sellers on EBAY sell these sorts of things for ungodly amounts of money though...
Emulation isn't accurate. There is no substitute for real hardware!

I did see a "factory sealed" NES go for 400+ on "Th eBay."
