The scissors part is too skinny and therefore forces the wider Atari to be too low. I'm not sure how to fix it, but I still really like it.khaag wrote:What do you think needs to be worked on?

There's the link to the cafepress store if anyone is interested in them... I'm not quite sure how to rework it any more...

Kurt_- I know what the point of the contest is. Did you not see the name of the cafepress store? www.cafepress.com/benhecktee
And the base price is $18.99 and $24.99 is a $6 markup. If Ben wants to make an official store for the main site I'm down with that. It would probably make it easier to collect funds... Maybe $6 markup is a little too much... I guess we can let Ben decide on the price.

Unfortunately not... There is a base price for all the products you can sell and for a dark t-shirt that's it. And also, what does Ben think about all this? I mean has he even expressed the desire to sell shirts or collect donations? And what's to guarentee that it goes to server costs? It all just seems rather unorganized. Maybe Ben can tell us what he thinks?

Ben also said the Wii sucks. Point is, he's been wrong before. Even if it doesn't cover the full cost of maintaining the site, who gives a crap? I'm sure he wouldn't mind a bit of extra dough on the side, even if it's just a little to help out. That being said, I would only donate if the site REALLY needed it (I donate enough of my time to the forums as it is!Kyo wrote:ben said that you can't rely on donations, as there is no guarantee that you get enough money on a monthly basis

But the Wii DOES suck! If you'd like to point out me being wrong, I also said it wouldn't sell well. OK here's a new one: "If the Wii continues to be a big hit, it will depress (not crash) gaming and cause mass industry layoffs" Let's see how I do...
Anyway the shirt design is pretty decent but any "official" Benheck.com t-shirt would have to be approved / designed by me. As for markup maybe 3 bucks is doable... not sure how much shipping is.
You have to keep in mind that a dark shirt with a graphic probably needs a white "surface layer" to print upon, so it's a more complex process, including a die cut I'm sure. I'm actually surprized they're as cheap at 19 bucks.
Hats would be cool too.
Again I think donations are stupid but if we got more ads / merchandise I'm totally fine with that.
