Atari releasing Flashback 2 Portable

why would they risk their business relationship with him by putting their name on someone else's portable 2600 instead of his.

this has happened before look at the keychain ataris. and curts relationship sure didnt get hurt at all

I wouldn't say it didn't mess with the business relationship at all. Curt mentioned that he was talking with Atari's legal department over the keychain

Not as much as I wanted to see it out for Christmas...

But no, it is NOT canceled, just put on hold due to issues of licensing and production. With the additional time, the product features have expanded and it will see release in Spring/Summer 08'

This is his responce to someone saying they wanted to see the FB2 portable out this Christmas.

It appears that all hope should not be lost. This was under the Flashback portable thread in Atari Age a few days ago.

I have mixed feelings about this. It's awesome, but not so awesome for those who are easily demotivated, or earn money selling stuff (ben, who needs money to buy a better server/hosting)
