I need some help.

I have absolutely no idea how to do a bunch of this stuff. but i want to get started on something and i have some pieces and there is a radioshack somewhere around here.but anyway i have a regular sized laptop lcd screen,a cd-dvd rom drive, a laser reader(no specifics remember i'm a n00b) a smaller LCD screen and a bunch of a parts from a laptop. does anyone have any idea what i should do. i'm about to get a new mp3 player and i thought about taking apart my old one and adapting it for the large computer LCD screen and putting a touch pad in the bottom left hand corner and use the previous touch pad from my mp3 player and fitting it for it. any other ideas? i need the help. i admit that i am a major n00b.

but you could put in mp4 in the case of laptop and make it look like nomal but wire up the buttons to laptop keys

First of all, are any of your questions (not like I saw many question marks in there) technical at all?

Generally and specifically, you cannot do anything with your laptop LCD, it is proprietary and useless.

sorry about the name it is an old xbox name that my good friend used in. i'm not sadistic, just wanted to use that one. the mp3 player is not an ipod or zune it is a m:robe. the buttons are not buttons at all.they are motion activated. you slide you finger over the buttons you want. i thought that i could take the case off it and put the buttons under a thin screen like in the corner of the screen and hook the screen up to the video output. anyway then i have a worthless project if the screen is useless. i do have a smaller LG LCD screen. usable? and it doesn't say that i can change my username.
