Demonoid: Gone for good?

Post by CronoTriggerfan »

It seems Demonoid's down, perhaps forever this time. It seems the CRIA is back on 'em, and now their site is displaying this message:
Demonoid wrote:The CRIA threatened the company renting the servers to us, and because of this it is not possible to keep the site online. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your understanding.
I wonder what's gonna happen...

yeah, your an idiot.

This is really sad. I can't believe this is happening, especially from the CRIA. I'm sure that less than 1% of the stuff on there has to do with the CRIA.

Agreed, 'tis a sad day, indeed. lolrhyme They already banned Canadians from visiting the site, what more do they want? Well, besides removing copywritten material, that is.

On a lighter note, though, this is post 3000 for me. w00t! :)

I probably should care more, but I really don't. I never get stuff from there anymore (too much HnR and slow speeds because of it).

Finding out someone you thought cared about you doesn't blows, but that was way way way topped by the downfall of demonoid, girls come and pass. But really there is no god if he takes demonoid away.

Demonoid was linked to by too many places. Now that demonoid is down, almost every other torrent site is just full of dead trackers.

If they want to stop Canadians from using Demonoid so bad, why don't they force Canadian ISPs to block torrent sites, rather than threatening the torrent sites into doing it themselves?

I think Demonoid will be back, at least, I hope. There have been quite a few crackdowns lately, some resulting in nothing, while others leave websites shutdown...

this is pretty bad thats like the only place to get most torrents these days. everybody is always like "you cant stop piracy at all!" but i think freebie time is going to go away for a while.

Stupid anti-piracy bastards, since when do people that download this stuff ever want to buy it in the first place, if their downloading they are doing it because they can`t afford the stuff in the first place.

And If they do lose sales, its probably way less than 1%.

They need to screw off and focus on piracy in China/india/etc Hell theres more pirated movies and such for SALE in those countries than retail.
