PS2 one handed controller......

Post by dkap01 »

Well after seeing bens one handed xbox controller,I said thats something to do that hasn't been done before. After searching the net there's a reel need for these. There's a lot of gamer's that have disibilties that dont have very many places to turn to and the big game companies dont think there's a market for this kind of controllers. I have freind that has CP and has little use of his right hand and something like this would help him out a lot. Thats why my first controller will be left handed. I also have a son that has a disibilty and has gotten a lot of help from different people. I want to give someone else the same kind of help that we have received. So what Im going to do is to make a hole lind of one handed controllers for people that cant use a regular controller.
My first prototype controller will be a PS2 controller. In the picture's you will see on the front it has the joystick, D-pad, start, select and analog buttons. The back will have x, square, circle, triangle, r1, r2, l1, l2 and second joystick. The second will be the same as bens prototype and you will use your leg for that. I think the way I have this set up is the best way to use it. If you look at the picture's the controller is about the same size as a PS2 controller. Im just about finished with it , all I have left to do is to finish the wiring and put it together. This should all be done by wednesday. So take a look and tell me what you think...

-Dave

Looks great, but it looks a little thin and uncomfortable to hold for prolonged periods. I'm probably wrong in saying that, but it just looks a little awkward.
