I drive a 1990 Volvo 740 turbo wagon! still kicking ass with appx 200k miles on the clock, mods on the way, mebe i will post a vid of it today

It horrifies me how 15 year olds can drive in America. It scares the hell out of me. It truly does.

what? i got my permit at 14. my school permit at 15. my intermediate license at 16 and my full license at 17. and i drive just fine. except for the fact that cops hate me... the feeling is mutual...

i've had my current car for about four years in september and put over 100 thousand miles on it. manual 1997 ford escort station wagon. forest green.

Lucky, my Explorer has a stock 6" sub.

Doesn't really thump you unless you have it turned up pretty high (and even then...), but oh well.

What kind of engine does it have? It might be the same as the one in my Explorer, 4l v6. Sounds pretty cool at 4k+ RPMs. Is it 4x4? And are you sure it only has 50,000 miles, or is it 150,000 and it just rolled over? If it was me, I'd keep the tailgate until its too rusted to use. Why spend money when you don't need to?

I must say, there's something Shady about Shadeslayer.

It's almost a rule that when you buy something new, you spend the first day, bare minimum, withdrawn from society adding mods and customizing it.

I'll have my own car in about half a year. I'll hopefully be working for maybe $10-12 / hour 35-40 hours a week from February to at least July. Maybe less if the parents buy a "Kid Car". Either way, I'll hopefully have a car to myself in the next year. That would be nice.

she has the worst luck of any person i have ever seen for getting tickets for stupid crap, thats why! and i am going to go work on my car here in a moment! lol

i think three speeding tickets. (one for going 15 mph over >.< and the others were only a tiny bit over)

two parking tickets because my friend's dad ran into my car when i was backing up for them. (he had been drinking, as well)

a ticket for passing in a no passing zone.. although i think he gave me a warning for the passing and he ended up giving me a $300 insurance ticket instead (to which i refuted the next day and didn't have to pay).

and a ticket for "failure to obey traffic control device". i turned right on a red light and right when i started going i saw the "no turn on red" sign. he was right behind me.

i've only ever gotten one warning. maybe i should start wearing make up and flirt with them or something.

Maybe you should have waited until you developed fine motor skills through drawing in between the lines before the man gave you the privilege of driving.

Seriously, 15? I would DEFINITELY stay indoors there.

No offense or anything. I just don't think that someone under the age of 19 or 20 should be driving unsupervised. I'm only going to drive because I need to. Anyone under that age doesn't have the required responsibility or proper judgment (or fear of death) to drive around 2 tons of metal going at 100 mph. This is another one of my generalizations. I'm sure some of you are good drivers. But look at drivers who started driving at 19+ and those who started driving at 15-17. Who has the least accidents or tickets? Thought so.

If elected, I would change the legal age of driving to 18! Vote Kurt for everything!

I've been driving since I was 16, no tickets or at fault collisions here.

100 MPH?! Where the hell is there a road that lets you go 100 mph?! (Aside from the midwest.)

Here in Massachusetts we can get our permits at 16 and licenses at 16 1/2 if we go through driver's ed, 18 if we skip driving school and wait out the permit period. When you have a permit, you have to have someone with at least 5 years of driving experience riding shotgun, and you can't have any passengers that aren't direct family members for the first 6 months of having your license.

I don't know about you, but I see a lot of adult drivers who are at least as bad as kid drivers. The most common problems are cell phones and impatience. It's pretty bad when you're already doing 60 in a 55 and some guy comes flying up behind you doing at least 70. And in a league of their own you get the airhead Paris and Nicole wannabes flying around with their phones, mochajavabentefancyburntexpensivelatte coffee, and novelty-size sunglasses. They're just too freaking oblivious to drive. And then there are the ricers, who try to race you, lose, and scream away in a cloud of fart noise and juvenile angst.

So don't make mass generalizations about age causing driving problems. Adults can be just as bad as kids, and they've been driving longer.

but you are right, some kids don't know any better and think they're invincible, especially when surrounded by 2000 pounds of steel and speakers.

EDIT: if you meant 100 kph, that's only about 60 MPH; and only pansies drive that slow on the highway around here. (The default highway speed limit here is 65 MPH.)
