Thats where the back combing comes in, its like one big thin dread then kept up with hairspray

soap works too, as does sugar water (although thats what hairspray mostly is anyway)

Hm. Awhile back when I tried getting a mohawk I tried using jello and that worked like crap s if I ever decide I wan't to try that out again I'll try just backcombing it. How long did it take for the back combing to really settle in to a point where you don't have to do any work with it?

you only have to do it once, you have to pick it out when you wash it because otherwise you cant backcomb it again properly to put it back up.

But i rarely take my hair down, once a month maybe mianly because lots of hair falls out everytime i do

After about a month it just wont take and more hairspray and starts to look like its covered in cobwebs

I'm not going to put a picture of me on the interwebz, but I have an almost as crazy hairstyle. I have a white-fro. It isn't as big as it was last year though. It's about 1.5 in now, and was 3 in last year.
